IT ALL STARTED WITH A DESIRE

The New Life Nungua Children’s Home is a private children’s home registered under the Department of Social Welfare with the call mandate to improve the quality of lives of the deprived and the physically challenged persons in society.

With a deep desire to help those vulnerable in society especially children, Cephas Mensah Afotey (NIl Afotey Botwe II, Director) after returning from Holland having worked with a construction firm of a church, decided to establish an orphanage home to help children by giving them new hope, vision, purpose, sense of direction and help achieve their dreams.

The Home’s activities began in 2003 with children from rural areas who were relocated in the home as a result of evangelism.

Currently, the house has a total of 92 resident children, 450 persons with disability, 39 aged, and 49 widows.
